Role:

This is a new position as a result of consistent expansion aimed to strengthen and future-proof the business' warehousing operations. This is a high-visibility role, reporting directly into the General Manager and leading a team of 10 (including a floor supervisor), making it well suited to candidates seeking to prove their credibility and fast-track their career with an up & coming market leader. 

This role focuses on driving process improvement to maximise operational efficiencies and to plan and foresee business changes and adapt the warehousing function according to business growth, to ensure that the requirements of the business and its customers are met effectively at all times. 

The current warehouse is 1,000 square meters and you will be looking at managing approx. 8000 +/- SKUs (season dependant). Currently RF scanning is implemented in the warehouse, 1-2 containers are received weekly and hand unloaded. 

Warehouse hours are 7am to 3.30pm. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Effectively manage all warehouse operations to ensure that the needs of retail, online and wholesale departments are met
  • Manage & plan for all incoming warehouse deliveries (regular overseas containers) and oversee timely unloading, counting and receipting of all containers
  • Introduce and drive process improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency and cost saving
  • Focus on training and up-skilling warehouse team to ensure knowledge and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Prepare and plan for peak dispatch and container periods and ensure adequate staffing 
  • Manage internal drivers + liaise with other logistical partners to ensure efficient dispatch of all orders
  • Ensure stock levels are accurate through regular stock-takes 
  • Monitor for any stock discrepancies and resolve in a timely manner
You: 
  • Experienced warehouse manager knowledgeable in leading best practices and a willingness to motivate and up-skill team
  • Previous experience overseeing warehouse & logistics in retail and/or fashion environments (advantageous) 
  • Forklift license 
  • A high level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Apparel21 (ERP system), ShippIt.. (advantageous)

My client, a beautiful womenswear label, are on the search for an Established Womenswear Designer to join their tight-knit Sydney based team. This role will design and execute seasonal and transeasonal ranges from concept through to production handover. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Develop strong, original designs in line with the brand's DNA.
Seasonal concept creation, trend forecasting / mood boards
Adhere to Production critical path and ensure deadlines are met
Range planning working closely with the 
Draw, sketch and develop ideas, hand sketch to CAD sketches in Illustrator
Create tech packs for clear garment production
Select and source fabrics, trims and accessories in line with the brand’s quality and aesthetic
Sample approval to ensure quality standards of fabric, colour, trims and fit.

About You:
Min. three years’ experience in a similar role
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent rapport/relationship building and interpersonal & communications skills.
Strong drive to achieve results and exceed expectations.
Able to excel as a team player.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluency in Adobe (Illustrator and Photoshop).
